Great Plains 706NT Drill
One Great Plains No-Till drill is available for rental. The drill will seed;
native warm season grasses (switchgrass, big bluestem and gamma grasses) to establish grassland prairie habitat;
cool season grasses (bromegrass, ryegrass, and clovers) for pasture, hayland and grassed waterway seedings;
pollinator fields
Small grains like soybeans, wheat and oats can be planted with the drill.
Drill Specifications: 7 ft planting width, 7.5 inch row spacing, 10 openers, 0 to 3.5 inch seed depth range. Requires full size pickup with heavy duty hitch and 3/4 inch straight hitch pin for transport. Requires 55-horsepower tractor minimum.
Rental Fees - $50 deposit, $50 per day use/$8 per acre
Bare-Root Tree Planter
Rental Fee: $25 per day
Bag-A-Nut Collector
The district also has a Bag-A-Nut Collector available for rent. This machine makes collecting acorns, pecans, etc. an easy task. Note to users - walnuts are generally too large to be consistently picked up by this model of collector.
Rental Fee: $10 per day

The District sells geo-textile filter fabric that meets NRCS engineering standards for conservation practices. Fabric can also be used for other uses like landscaping. Fabric is sold in 15ft width and priced at $7.50 per linear foot. Orders for a full 300' roll receive a 25% discount.
Survey Marking Flags
The SWCD offers survey marking flags for sale. Bundles of 100 flags are available for $12.

Planting bare-root seedlings? This pull behind planter opens a slot in the ground, allowing for fast and easy placement of seedlings. The press wheels follow behind and compress the slot, allowing for one pass operation. The tree planter is tow-able and does not need transported on a trailer.
